How can I keep my flowers alive longer?

To extend the life of your bouquet:

Clean your vase with soap and water before use.

Trim stems with sharp scissors at an angle to drink up water easier.

Replace water every other day to prevent bacteria building up. Bonus points for putting a drop of bleach and a little bit of dissolved flower food in your water.

Remove stems as they begin to wilt to keep the arrangement looking fresh.

Where do you deliver?

For one-off arrangements and bouquets, delivery is available within the Capital Region and Hudson Valley.

Where do you produce events?

Events are generally throughout the Hudson Valley region of NY, the Berkshires in Massachusetts, and around Providence, RI, but Pepper Floral will travel! For inquires about a destination event, please contact Alli directly at alli@pepperfloral.com.

Do you produce more than one event at time?

Due to the thorough nature of large events, we do not produce more than one event per day, and rarely one event per weekend. We have set a precedent that every wedding will be high-quality and treated delicately and carefully, therefore, we cannot commit to any more than a single event per day.

How much is the cost for a typical Pepper Floral wedding package?

The cost of a Pepper Floral wedding averages $12,000, and the minimum spend for weddings is $5,000. This also goes for other large-scale programmed events, such as galas, conferences, or brand activations. All orders over $1,000 are considered an event and require a deposit for fulfillment.

Why are florals so expensive???

The sad answer is that flowers are a luxury product.

Flowers are a highly perishable, labor-intensive product sourced from local growers and farmers around the world, all handled through a time-sensitive supply chain. The cost reflects not only the blooms themselves, but also professional design expertise, premium conditioning, foam-free mechanics, labor, delivery, installation, and careful sourcing during fluctuating seasonal availability. Much like fine food or fashion, floral design is an investment in craftsmanship, quality, and experience—not just the product you see at pick-up. As much as I would love to have every flower be accessible to all folks, they are highly seasonal–some blooms might only be ready for cuttings for about a week!–and it is just not possible due to cost.

On top of the hard costs of materials, I also firmly believe in paying my staff appropriately. Many florists take on the help of freelancers who have years of experience and practice, and these artists deserve a fair wage for their productions.

What is included in my floral design package?

For corporate and wedding clients, a full design consultation and plan is designed and executed, as well as, a venue visit, mechanics, candle and vessel rental, and delivery & clean up.

For full design, you will receive additional site visits, multiple design sessions, and linen rental.

For recurring clients, we include weekly or monthly delivery, refresh, and removal, brand-aligned designs, predictable monthly billing, on-call replacement for damage or wilting, and scalable support for larger events.

What about the earth? Isn’t floristry wasteful?

Floral foam is a single-use plastic product that sheds microplastics, cannot be recycled, and contributes waste to landfills each year. It also releases harmful chemicals into our waterways and into the skin of the florists who touch it. We choose foam-free design methods because they are safer for the environment, healthier for our designers, and better for the longevity of your flowers. Our mechanics are reusable, responsible, and thoughtfully engineered.
